Virtual intervention in an electrical transformer room
The H0V Electrical Accreditation scenario allows learners to be immersed in and assessed in a high-voltage transformer station. As an employee of an H0V-certified pest control company, the learner's mission is to replace all rat traps and answer a series of questions (quiz).
Procedure:
The learner arrives outside the transformer station to learn about their mission.
After entering the transformer station, they answer quizzes throughout the scenes they encounter on topics such as fire extinguishers, PPE, knowledge of H0V certification rules, electrical knowledge, and first aid procedures for electrocuted persons.
Some quizzes require 100% correct answers in order to perform a task, such as removing a dead mouse from a high-voltage cable strand.
At the end of this scenario, the learner leaves the high-voltage substation and can view their scores.
- Functional analysis of the transformer (differences between mechanical and electronic cells)
- Compliance with safety rules applicable to H0V personnel
- Risk identification in the transformer room
- Identifying electrical risks on or near an installation, knowing how to move around and work in an electrical environment
- Behaving appropriately for the situation
- Checking that the mandatory safety features are in place before working
