Audace VR forklift driving simulator

Presentation:

VR simulators for driving C3 counterbalance or C5 reach forklifts.

Training in two complementary stages:

- Phase 1: Immersive virtual reality driving
Learners are introduced to driving and risk management through various scenarios simulating real-life situations encountered in a logistics warehouse.

- Phase 2: Analysis and validation of acquired skills
This phase assesses the learner's theoretical knowledge and validates their understanding of good driving practices.

- The simulator includes the following scenarios:

• Getting to grips with the controls
• Driving in a warehouse environment
• Stacking and unstacking in piles and on pallets
• Loading and unloading trailers, at the dock or sideways

Each session is recorded, analyzed, and reported, with the option to save the results.

The instructor can monitor the learner's progress in real time, view their performance, and edit a report. The user's profile is saved to allow for individualized monitoring from one session to the next.

Educational objectives:

- Validation of forklift operator skills
- Learning to drive in addition to training on real machinery
- Refresher training in "category 3 forklift driving"
- Safety: Scenarios have been created to teach safe driving and how to respond to risks (integration of incidents)
- Productivity: The simulation allows learners to practice working safely during timed tasks

Driving:

Several driving scenarios with and without loads:

- Stacking and unstacking loads
- Loading and unloading pallet racks
- Loading and unloading a truck
- Identifying controls and taking up a position
- Driving empty in forward gear
- Driving empty in reverse gear
- Managing the risk of tipping over – driving
- Managing the risk of tipping over – surface conditions
