Virtual Construction training module "Working at height on R408 scaffolding"
Virtual Construction is an extension of Virtual Indus with 3D scenarios that allow users to acquire and consolidate practical skills associated with theoretical knowledge related to working at height on scaffolding.
The training modules have been designed with expert trainers using official documents (R408) as a reference.
Intended for initial training, continuing education, and in-company training, Virtual Construct combines a hardware environment incorporating the latest 3D technologies with training scenarios designed in cooperation with training experts in the trades/technologies covered in the scenario.
This training unit is ideal for the acquisition, consolidation, and evaluation of professional skills.
Once the "hardware environment" of the Virtual Indus / Construct training unit, training establishments can gradually invest in "3D virtual training scenes."
The first 3D scenes were developed on the theme of construction site risks and R408 scaffolding certification.
Virtual Construct integrates the Vulcan environment, a platform for real-time management of skills and associated indicators. It enables the management of learners and educational pathways, the monitoring of results, and integrates with existing digital workspaces and learning management systems. Virtual reality is increasingly being used in industry in a variety of ways:
1) Driving and piloting simulation
2) Optimization of industrial designs: Anticipating and preparing all operations related to the process and product during its life cycle
3) Ergonomic design of production stations
4) Training in technical movements and situations
Awareness of the dangers associated with poorly assembled scaffolding
Assessment of the quality of scaffolding assembly
Identification of scaffolding defects for correction and safety purposes
Inspection & Acceptance of fixed scaffolding
The main objective of this module is to verify the conformity of scaffolding with the plan and assembly instructions. More specifically, it covers installation, suitability assessment, shoring, leveling, area of use, and assembly inspection.
Use of a scaffolding tower
The main objective of this module is to carry out tasks in compliance with safety rules, particularly those relating to scaffolding. This module consists of five tasks:
Enables students to develop practical skills (know-how and interpersonal skills) during theoretical training with the "right to make mistakes" without risk to learners or equipment.
Increased learning opportunities to accelerate the development of professional skills
Work carried out entirely independently by the learner
An offer tailored to different needs
Placing learners in different contexts and original scenarios that cannot be integrated into a training platform
A virtual experience that is as close to reality as possible (head and hand tracking, virtualized objects, etc.)
Practical activities carried out independently with the "right to make mistakes" without risk to the learner or the equipment
Individualized training with monitoring of the learning path (Vulcan training space)
