FL Trainer

Presentation :

FL Trainer is a forklift simulator for driver training.

Its design is designed to train learners who need to acquire and consolidate professional forklift driving skills with dexterity, safety and precision.

The user interacts with the simulator which reproduces the real control of a forklift truck. Two screens display in real time the front view and the rear view of the truck.

Technical Specifications :

Cockpit with seat, levers, pedals, steering wheel, starter key identical to a real cart

Two screens for front and rear view

Device for monitoring the movement of the driver's head to adjust the point of view and increase the realism of the driving experience.

Built-in PC computer

Software with four main functions:

• Monitoring / control of the cart and real-time display of the simulated environment
• Learning through modules and exercises, on 5 pedagogical axes: Mastery of the controls - Mastery of front, rear and narrow aisle traffic - Mastery of loading/unloading stacking on the ground, pallet rack or truck - Learning of slopes (ascending and/or descending) and risks of overturning - Mastery of the truck in the presence of people
• Learner monitoring with data reporting, execution monitoring, interactive replay system with ability to change viewpoints
• Network interconnection possible with one trainer station and several simulators

Pedagogical activities :

The whole learning process revolves around different pedagogical axes in order to reach a single objective:

- Control the operation of the machine

The exercises are long enough to ensure consistent results.

Through the different modules, the activities are :

Learn the commands and the front / back handling

Learn to drive forward and backward on flat terrain, indoors or outdoors, on a slope
going up or down

Understand the risks of rollover

Understand a table (abacus) of load on a cart

Learn how to park a forklift truck

Learn and master the safety rules (fork height, use of the horn, use of the brake)

Learn how to load and unload in a simple way, then in stacks and then on different supports (racks, trucks, etc.).

Learn how to transport bulky or dangerous loads

Learn how to work in the presence of pedestrians.
